The Good Samaritan Network is a nonprofit charity that relies on the support of volunteers, members and donors to in order to provide community programming, assistance, education, training and resources. 


Strongly Recommended In-Kind Donation Ideas

If donations are gently used they should be undamaged/unsoiled items.

  • Games, toys and sports equipment

  • Hand tools and small power tools

  • Hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves

  • Housewares: dishes, glassware, kitchen utensils, lamps, and small appliances


  • Jewelry


  • Large “useable/good working order” appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, stoves/ovens, washers/dryers, window air conditioners.

  • Mattresses/box springs – undamaged/unsoiled (NO waterbed mattresses and waterbed frames)

  • Rehab Equipment – NEW or GENTLY USED ONLY

  • Seasonal Décor – undamaged/unsoiled

InKind Donations
InKind Donations are critical in providing gently used and new clothing and toys to be re-purposed to the under-served residents of Hamilton County. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law and are acknowledged with a donation receipt. 
RECEIPTS require an email or an address for acknowledgement. 
Financial Donations


Financial assistance and support of GSN programming and events are provided based on the generous financial donations, including gift cards, and grants secured. Every financial donation directly impacts GSN’s ability to serve the Hamilton County community. All donations are quickly dispensed through a client application, accountability, and assistance process




Donors making donations with a VALID EMAIL will receive an immediate receipt for each individual donation - based on the date the receipt is posted.

If no email is provided for instant receipting, a printed receipt will be sent – in arrears  - based on a provided address.

If no address or email is provided – receipts cannot be sent.

IF you unsubscribe and remove your email, future donations will not be instantly receipted. 

We appreciate your notification of any discrepancy in the contact information or donation details.

A complete Year-End Statement will be provided within thirty days after the current year's end – and will provide a total donation history for the taxable year. Ideally, these will be sent by email, IF we have a valid email account on file. Otherwise, they will be sent via USPS. Please retain this receipt for your records.

It's hard to say "no thank you" to a donation when those donations help Hamilton County families. However, we do need to refuse some items for being non-recyclable or containing hazardous materials. Other times, the item must be refused because it would require re-handling and disposing of elsewhere. Our warehouse staff is trained to know what we can and cannot accept, and will help guide you to other possibilities for donations we cannot use.
